It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Grimes of Brookfield, Connecticut, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on December 15, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Grimes (Drolet) and Larry Grimes; and his brothers, Cyril and Adrian. He is survived by: his wife Nancy (Standt); his children, Matt (Liz), Mark Grimes (Kristin) and Emily McElroy (Andrew); his grandchildren, Cullen and Dagny; and his siblings, Gerry, Margaret, Louise, Mary (Mike), Amy (Alex), Jane (Paul) and Kristine (Lizi). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe's memory to Wounded Warrior Project or by donating a pint of blood to the American Red Cross.
