She was predeceased by: her parents, John Carroll and Clara Carroll (Birkemeir); her husband Thomas Spitzfaden Sr.; and her siblings, Joan Toomey, John Carroll and J. C. Carroll.
She is survived by: her sons, Thomas Spitzfaden Jr. (Sheila) and Andrew Spitzfaden (Heather); her grandsons, Thomas III of Andrew John and Joaquin Christopher "Jack"; and her sisters, Clare Ronning (Martin) and Mary Poster.
