He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McGarrah and Augusta McGarrah (Markovits). He is survived by: his wife Ann McGarrah (Canavan); his children, James, Christopher and Susan Bonanno; his grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Kate and Sean; and his sister Ann Tretler.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church (138 Candlewood Lake Rd, Brookfield, CT 06804). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Locust Valley Cemetery (117 Ryefield Rd, Locust Valley, NY 11560).
