He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Fernald and Hunter. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Margie" Fernald (Sullivan); his children, Jennifer Dorta-Duque (Ed) of Saint Johns, Florida, Jeffrey Fernald (Amy) of Bristol, Patrick Fernald (Martha Slater) of Old Lyme and Michael Fernald (Jessica) of Gonzales, Louisiana.; his grandchildren, Eric, Jordan, Briana, Abigail, Drake, Adam, Elias, Hazel, Rosie and Finn; his sister-in-law Maureen Gazlay; and his nephews, David, Jimmy, Richard and Brian.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 9:45 AM at the Church of St Mary Star of the Sea (145 Main St, Unionville, CT 06085).
