Robert J. Scheidel Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert J. Scheidel of Burlington, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 13, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Scheidel (Michel) and Frederick Scheidel of Collinsville; and his brother Lawrence Scheidel. He is survived by: his wife Amy Todd Scheidel; his sons, Bobby Scheidel (Sheryl) of Colchester, CT, James Scheidel (Cathy) of Bristol, CT and Michael (Alexis) of Unionville, CT.; his grandchildren, Matthew Scheidel (Ashley) of Braintree, MA, Brian Scheidel of Ledyard, CT and Samantha Scheidel of Unionville; and his sister Regina Follert (Vincent) of New Hartford, CT.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ahern Funeral Home (111 Main St, Unionville, CT 06085). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Patrick's Church (7 Burlington Ave, Collinsville, CT 06019).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Bob's name to the Burlington Men's Club Scholarship Fund, 44 Covey Road, Burlington, CT 06013.
