She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Burtnett and Lela Burtnett (Smith); and her husband Kenneth A. Moeckel. She is survived by: her children, Deborah, Lisa and Kurt; her daughter-in-law Deborah; her grandchildren, Jacob, Jamie and Joshua; and her sisters, Glenda LePage, Judith Lambeth and Janice Strollo (Arnold).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant House, a charity that provides love, shelter and hope to young people facing homelessness.
