She was predeceased by: her husband Glenn Ranta; her sister Janice Tapper Beaton; and her parents, Bruno Calderara and Althea Calderara. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Jeffrey Ranta (Sherri) of Conway, SC, Pamela Doran (Tom) of Sewickley, PA and Amy Ranta of Danielson, CT.; her grandchildren, Ashley Chin, Dr. Joshua Ranta, Dr. Sarah Doran Glaser, Christopher Doran and Andrew Doran; her great grandchild Diana Glaser; and her nephews, Richard Tapper, David Tapper and Jamie Tapper.
In honor of Marnelle, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105, a cause she held close to her heart.
