He was predeceased by: his parents, Wave Smith and Elizabeth Smith (Carroll). He is survived by: his wife Gloria Smith (Gama); his children, Fred Gama Souza and Aline Vieira Gama Souza; his grandchildren, Jullia, Andrew and Henrique; his sister Anne Mory (Rob); his nephew Rob Mory; and his brother David Smith (Cindy).
