Barbara Frances Schumann Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Frances Schumann of Cheshire, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roger Schumann; and her parents, Eugene Hummel and Mary Hummel (Pieniak). She is survived by: her children, Andrew Vignola Jr. (Lori) of Wallingford, Robert Vignola (Kristen) of Cheshire and Ellen Peterson (Mark) of Newington; her grandchildren, David Peterson, Matthew, Christopher Vignola, Elizabeth and Jennifer Vignola; and her cousins, Debbie Dubien and Douglas DeGray.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home (615 S Main St, Cheshire, CT 06410). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Bridget Church (175 Main St, Cheshire, CT 06410).
