It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Welton of Cheshire, Connecticut, born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Hubert and Anne Hubert (Masley); her husband Franklin H. Welton; her brothers, Harold "Harry" Hubert, William "Bill" Hubert, Jack Hubert and George Hubert; her niece Suzanne; her nephews, Harry and Kevin; her sister-in-law Eleanor Gager; and her close friend Fran Nyberg.
She is survived by: her children, Franklin "Frank" Welton II (Joyce) of New Boston, NH, Charles "Chas" Welton of Cheshire, Barbara McCarthy (John) of Plymouth, NH, Deborah Boislard (Jeffrey) of Bristol, NH and Sandra Welton of Cheshire; her grandchildren, Brooke, Jill, Josh and Nate; her great grandchildren, Aaralyn, Gavin, Hayven, Everett and Maisie; her siblings, Ellen Phelan of Watertown and Thomas "Tom" Hubert (Melanie) of Terryville; her nieces and nephews, Ella, Becky of Mary, J. C., Bill, Jack Jr., Julie, Katherine, Kathy, Leann, Dorothy and Sarah; and also, Lisa, Kellie and Liam Moran.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bridget of Sweden Parish-St. Bridget Church (175 Main St, Cheshire, CT 06410).
Memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Children's Medical Center, where her great-nephew Alex received care before his passing from cancer.
