He is survived by: his wife Irene Urban (Kubow); his daughters, Anne Vaz and Barbara Urban (Dan); his son-in-law Jim Vaz; and his grandsons, James Vaz and Evan Vaz (Victoria). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Though YEARS have passed, he was a great mentor at Ryerson: self assured, but not arrogant, outgoing and great to be around. I was elated reading here that he and Irene got married! What a great couple you must have made! Kids and grands…….more evidence that it’s been YEARS. Praying for peace & comfort. He left a long lasting mark.”
