Gertz Sr. of Cheshire, Connecticut, born in Torrington, Connecticut, who passed away at the age of 89, on March 27, 2022. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Gertz and Ruby Stacker Gertz; his son Kenneth Gertz, Jr.; his grandson Kenneth Gertz, III; and his siblings, Ruby Brayell, Linda Lauderi, Lillian Centrella, Arthur Jr., Robert, Jacob and James Gertz.

He is survived by: his daughter Donna (Gary Thompson) of New Milford; his grandchildren, Scott Thompson (Jillian) of New Milford, Corey Thompson (Kimberly) of Middlebury, Courtney Mingrino (Daniel) of Cheshire, Heather Gertz of Tennessee and Kyle Gertz of Meriden; and his brother Gustav Gertz of Killingworth. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
