She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph A. Akowitz; her parents, Joseph Carpentino and Louise Mongillo Carpentino; and her brother Joseph Carpentino. She is survived by: her daughter Tina L. Akowitz; and her siblings, Frederick Carpentino (Lucille), Louis Carpentino, Marie Russo (Fred), Marty Carpentino (Linda), Robert Carpentino and Constance Curet. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
