The passing of William S. Gere Jr. of Cheshire, Connecticut leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 20, 2026 at the age of 97. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though William may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those William touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn L. Gere; his parents, Carol Gere (Hixon) and William S. Gere; his son William S. Gere, III; and his brothers, James M. Gere and Frederick Gere.
He is survived by: his children, Jane E. Gere (James Zorn) of San Francisco, CA, Carol J. Gere of Wallingford and Merrily A. Gere (Timothy Delgado) of New Britain; his grandson Griffin E. Gere; and his daughter-in-law Kathleen Pavlik of Hamden. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and their children.
