She is survived by: her children, Alice M. McCall (Sowell) of Germantown, MD, Dubie T. Sowell of Colchester, CT, Carlos A. Sowell (Egle) of Saint Johns, FL and Kele I. Issa (Iris) of Colchester, CT. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Church & Allen Funeral Home (136 Sachem St, Norwich, CT 06360). A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery (184 Salem Turnpike, Norwich, CT 06360).
She endured a ten-year battle with Dementia and Alzheimer's with remarkable courage, grace, and unwavering strength, leaving behind a legacy of love that will never fade.
