He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester M. Anderson and Olive Anderson (Hubbard); his wife Alberta Mader; and his siblings, Lester, William, Thomas, Ronald, Dickie, Ralph Anderson and Olive Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Chester III Anderson (Rachel) of Windsor, Mary McGuire (John) of Colchester, Cheryl Caronna (Jim) of Colchester and Nicole Hosford (Richard) of Colchester; his stepdaughter Margaret Mader of Rocky Hill; his grandchildren, Jacob, Aaron Hosford, Matthew Monroe (Anna), Laura Caronna and Jane McGuire; his great grandchildren, Emma and Ethan Monroe; and his siblings, Harry Anderson of Norwich, Roy Anderson of Norwich, Terry Anderson of Norwich and Edith Cornish of Norwich. He is also survived by his grandchildren, he was Papa, a grandfather.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Aurora McCarthy Funeral Home (167 Old Hartford Rd, Colchester, CT 06415). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Colchester Federated Church (60 Main St, Colchester, CT 06415). A burial was held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery (184 Salem Turnpike, Norwich, CT 06360).
