He was predeceased by: his son John Allen Barr, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Debra; his children-in-law, Reginald Martin and Trudy Barr (Maurice Gariepy); his grandchildren, Bridgette Duvall (Shawn), Carolyn Hayward (Michael) and Lindsay Barr; and his great grandchild Christopher Duvall. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Aurora McCarthy Funeral Home (167 Old Hartford Rd, Colchester, CT 06415). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Linwood Cemetery (235 Linwood Cemetery Rd, Colchester, CT 06415).
