It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zachary John Garr of Colchester, Connecticut, who passed away on June 3, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Zachary John Garr to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Garr (Litwin) and Zachary Garr; his wife Nancy Lee (Tarnowski); and his brothers, Robert and Edward.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Donovan (Dan) of Millis, MA and Kenneth Garr of Barkhamsted, CT.; his granddaughters, Riley Donovan, Madison Donovan, Rowan Garr, Sequoia Garr and Cedar Garr; his sister Margaret Lavezzoli (Frank) of Sarasota, FL; and his siblings-in-law, Anthony Tarnowski (Kathy) of Colchester, Arthur Tarnowski (Beverly) of Colchester, Joe Tarnowski of Richmond, VA and Lucille Culhane (Gary) of Parker, CO.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home (167 Old Hartford Rd, Colchester, CT 06415). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Andrew Church (128 Norwich Ave, Colchester, CT 06415). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at the Linwood Cemetery Linwood Cemetery (235 Linwood Cemetery Rd, Colchester, CT 06415).
