He was predeceased by: his parents, Gary Hammond and Audrey Hammond (Lathers); his brother Glenn Hammond; and his granddaughter Vera Leigh. He is survived by: his wife Liana Hammond (McDougall); his children, Shannon Hammond Irace (Ken), David Hammond (Kelsey) and Dana Chieka (Bob); his grandchildren, Blake, Myles, Colton, Charlotte, Camden, Rhett, Nora and Sawyer; his brother Cliff Hammond (Marylin) of East Hampton, CT; and his brother-in-law John McDougall (Nereida) of Townville, SC..
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Potter Funeral Home (456 Jackson St, Willimantic, CT 06226). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Maine Youth Fish & Game Association.
