It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael R. Lareau of Columbia, Connecticut, who passed away on May 24, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Florent Rene and Angela Lareau (Bonin); his brother Andy; his uncle Leo; his sister-in-law Laura; and his sibling's child Michele Delisle.
He is survived by: his significant other Frances Joy; his son Mark Lareau; his daughter-in-law Michelle of Worcester, MA; his granddaughter Renee Delisle of Cromwell; his brother Roland Lareau (Linda) of Westerly, RI; and his brother-in-law Peter Joy (Rebecca Dresser) of St. Louis. He is also survived by nieces, their spouses, and children.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Connecticut Public Television, which brought Mike joy and inspiration throughout his life.
