With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Blakey of Cornwall, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 20, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernestine L. Blakey and Burt Blakey of West Cornwall; his brother Tom Blakey of Falls Village; and his daughter Karen B. Fisher of Cornwall. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Blakey of Cornwall; his children, David M. Blakey of Cornwall Bridge and Lori B. Welles (David Welles) of West Cornwall; his granddaughter Melissa B. Root of Terryville; his great grandchild Devyn Root of Terryville; his niece Pam B. Hart (Doug) of Belencia, CA.; and his brother James Blakey of Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cornwall Volunteer Fire Dept. and EMS, American Cancer Society, or the UCC Cornwall capital improvement fund.
