It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Frank Aitken of Coventry, Connecticut, born in Paterson, New Jersey, who passed away on December 27, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Donald Francis Aitken; his son Andrew T. Aitken; and his sister-in-law Venette Aitken. He is survived by: his mother Sara Ella Tiedeman of Salisbury, CT; his wife Jo Ann Coward Aitken; his sons, Donald and William (Amanda); his brothers, Douglas and Scott (Teri); his cousin Audrey Gray (Alden); his grandchildren, John, Drew, Jack (Cassidy), Molly and Stella; and his uncle Frank Tiedeman. He is also survived by the mother of his grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Andrew T. Aitken Physical Therapy Scholarship Fund at UCONN foundation.
