It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary F. DeFemia of Coventry, Connecticut, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on May 24, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. DeFemia Sr. and Katherine Doran (DeFemia); and his brothers, James J. DeFemia Jr. and Richard M. DeFemia. He is survived by: his daughters, Gina Gadue (David) of West Hartford, CT and Darlene FitzGerald (Kevin) of Coventry, CT.; his grandchildren, Catherine, James, Elizabeth Gadue, Daniel, Thomas, Mary, Matthew and Christopher FitzGerald; his niece Laurie Wormstedt of Vernon, CT; and his nephew Richard DeFemia of Henderson, NV.. He is also survived by friends and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, his favorite charity.
