Carroll M. Nelson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carroll M. Nelson of Cromwell, Connecticut, who passed away on May 14, 2026, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Nelson and Fredricksen; his former wife Marjorie Okerfelt (Okerfelt); and his daughter Susan Berzinis. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Nelson (Wellborn); his children, Linda Hassett (Kurt) of Manchester and Chris Nelson (Mary-Ellen) of Farmington; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Sweazy (Michael), Stephanie Troutman (Jeffrey), Stephen Nelson (Amy), Matthew Nelson (Leslie Golden), Joshua Barber (Jessica Ginsberg) and Michelle Persson (Mark). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Covenant Church (302 Hackmatack St, Manchester, CT 06040). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
