Daine touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. While Daine’s presence will be missed, the influence she had on others will remain. Those who knew her will carry forward memories that reflect her character and spirit.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Shaak and Eleanor Shaak; and her brother-in-law Dr. William H. Lord. She is survived by: her granddaughter Lindsey; her daughter Amy Daniele (Francesco); her grandchild Ryan; her sister Barbara Lord of Reading, PA; and her nephews, David Lord (Krissy) and Steven Lord (Maria).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cromwell Funeral Home (506 Main St, Cromwell, CT 06416). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Diane's memory to the Order of the Eastern Star Lady Washington Chapter #45, an organization that was dear to her.
