He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bonaiuto and Santina Bonaiuto (Garofalo); his brother Richard Boniuto; and his granddaughter Ninoska Bonaiuto. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bonaiuto (Crescimano); his sons, David (Martha) of Cromwell, CT. and William of Cromwell, CT.; his grandchildren, Wyatt Bonaiuto, Iva Bonaiuto and Joseph Lahotay; his great grandchildren, Stephen and Isabella Lahotay; his brother Robert Bonaiuto; his niece Oona Iglesias; and his nephew Orian Iglasias.
