He is survived by: his wife Helena; his daughter Fatima Cardinale (Alexandre); his grandchildren, Cynthia Palanzo (Phillip), Alexandre Jr. Cardinale (Alison) and Robert Cardinale; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Camryn, Cooper and Valentina; his nieces, Elizabette Luis (Danbury) and Fernanda Luis (Portugal); and his sister-in-law Carmo Luis (Portugal). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
