He was predeceased by: his wife Tess Stavola Russo; and his daughter-in-law Dorothea. He is survived by: his son-in-law Albert A. Russo of Danbury; his grandchildren, Alison Russo, Joseph Scrofani (Catherine), Frank Scrofani, Nicole Merrick (James), Mia Petrosky Scappatura (Michael) and Philip Russo Petrosky (Katie); his great grandchildren, Emily Ann Smith, Kyle Merrick, Jessica Merrick, Vito Michael Scappatura and Lena Scrofani; Cathie Petrosky (Philip) of New Fairfield. He is also survived by siblings who guided and supported him after the early death of their father.
In lieu of flowers, friends may donate in Albert's memory to Saint Joseph's Church, 8 Robinson Avenue, Danbury or toward a tree to be planted in his memory at the Center for Comfort Care and Healing at Regional Hospice and Palliative Care on 30 Milestone Road, Danbury, CT 06810.
