It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald Garavel Sr. of Danbury, Connecticut, who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelo Garavel and Elizabeth Garavel (Sullivan); his wife Mary Jane Garavel (LaCava); and his siblings, James P. Garavel, B. Robert Garavel and Mary Grace Sullivan.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ellen Hall (Greg) of Cary, IL, Pam Butler (Gary) of Millbury, MA, Jerry Garavel (Sharon) of Ridgefield, CT and Jean Garavel of Danbury, CT.; his grandchildren, Laura, Sherri, Eric, Stephanie, Matt and Mark; and his great grandchildren, Ryan and Zephyr.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (370 Main St, Danbury, CT 06810).
