He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Dutch" Dietz and Katherine Dietz (Flynn); and his brothers, Jack Dietz and Donald Dietz. He is survived by: his wife Laura Dietz (Lusk); his children, Laura Dietz (Jim Holtzman), Jim Dietz (Dina Johnson), Amy Dietz (David Zopf), Beth Dietz (Chris Markowski) and Michele Dietz-Maher (Shane Maher); and his grandchildren, Katie, Colin, Mina, Maia, Kieran, Maeve, Bettina, Deborah, Lincoln and James.
