Joan Fowkes Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Fowkes of Danbury, Connecticut, who passed away on May 27, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Duffany and Rose Duffany (Rasmussen); her husband Robert Fowkes; her son Nicholas Longo; her brother Louis Duffany; her son-in-law Leo McHugh; her granddaughter Chrisma Andriulaitis; and her former husband Nicholas Longo Sr..

She is survived by: her children, Diane McHugh of Waterbury, Christine Garcia (Ozzie) of Wolcott, Arthur Fowkes of Danbury, Brian Fowkes (Linda) of Bristol, Gail Carollo (Phil) of Simsbury, Karen Fowkes of Unionville, Pam Rinaldi (Joe), Hampton and Kevin Fowkes of Bethel; and her caregivers, Joan, Maureen and Samantha.

Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Joan (a survivor) and her late granddaughter Chrisma to: The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
