He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen G. McGuire (Tiernan) and William McGuire; and his wife Eleanor. He is survived by: his children, Ellen (Tim), Marguerite (Brian), Mary Alice (Stephen), Kathleen (David), Anne Marie (Derek) and Christopher (Sherri); and his grandchildren, Michael, Megan, Sara, Nicolas, Fiona, Victoria, Ian, Natalie, Christopher and Isabella.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's name to two organizations that were very close to his heart: Cardinal Hayes High School & St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
