He was predeceased by: his wife Paula Scozzafava (Krizan); his parents, Joseph Scozzafava and Catherine Scozzafava (Paonessa); his wife Carmella Scozzafava (Germinaro); his brothers, Sevario Scozzafava and Joseph Scozzafava; his stepson A. J. Lombardi; his brother-in-law Walter Torielli; and his daughter-in-law Donna Scozzafava.

He is survived by: his sons, Joseph Scozzafava of Danbury and John Scozzafava (Carol) of Florida; his stepchildren, Michael Lombardi (Meg Morrell) of East Haddam, Alan Lombardi of Danbury, Gregg Lombardi (Jill) of Unionville, Cindy Hawley (Gary) of Danbury, Craig Lombardi of Danbury and Missy Russell (Todd) of Danbury; his sister Eleanor Torielli of Danbury; his daughter-in-law Tracy Lombardi of Bethel; and his siblings-in-law, Daniel Krizan of New Milford, Emil Krizan of Stepney and Marie Krizan of Danbury. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
