Joseph Mato Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joseph Mato (Danbury, Connecticut), who passed away at the age of 78, on December 10, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Joseph Mato to show support.

As Joseph departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joseph may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joseph leaves behind.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Mato and Anne Mato (Omasta); his wife Rosmini Mato (Rose); and his cherished Samoyed.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery (22 Tamarack Ave, Danbury, CT 06810). In 2005, Joe and his friend Bernie Rudberg co-founded the Central New England Bus Tour, which they successfully ran for 15 years until the pandemic.
