He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Schanbacher and Glendola Schanbacher (Jenlink); and his son-in-law Christin Gangi. He is survived by: his children, Allan Schanbacher of Bettendorf, IA, Yvonne, Winkler of Bettendorf, IA, Keri Schanbacher of Reynolds, IL, Brian Schanbacher (Alison Kahn) of Anchorage, AK and Cara Holler (Colin) of Hopewell Jct; his siblings, Floyd Schanbacher of Wooster, OH, Monty Schanbacher of Cherokee, OK and Debra Rummel of Tulsa, OK; his grandchildren, Andrew, Alexandra, Ian, Seth, Emma and Maxine; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Joslyn, Alivia and Gabriella.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Beecher Funeral Home (1 Putnam Ave, Brewster, NY 10509). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Union Church of Pocantico (555 Bedford Rd, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591).
