Louis J. Heydet IV Obituary
DANBURY- Louis J. Heydet IV, passed away on September 23, 2022 at Danbury Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on January 22, 1975 in Bronxville, NY.
Louis was a skilled painter, an Iron Worker by trade, and he worked on tug boats off the coast of Louisiana for the oil towers. He was the biggest cheerleader to family and friends. He had many nicknames, Little Louie, Groovy Lou, just to name a few which are examples of his fun-loving personality. Louis enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and Jess his dog. Louis loved fishing with his father and grandfather, and with his brother-in-law and friends on charter boats off Long Island. Louis enjoyed watching the Yankees and the Giants. His family will be thinking of him when Aaron Judge hits his 61st homerun.
Louis introduced his children and family to the story of Chris Herren, a high school basketball player who went on to play in college and ultimately for the Boston Celtics. Chris Herren's addiction controlled his life. In 2011 Chis founded the Herren Project, a non-profit to help get people treatment for drug and alcohol addictions. The organization also offers prevention programs, family support, recovery scholarships and more. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a donation to the Herren Project, https://herrenproject.org Louis is survived by his children, Dylan, Luke, and Emma, and Carol Heydet (ex-wife), of New Milford, CT his parents, Louis, and Ellen (Reid) Heydet of Warren, CT, sisters, Jane Mangeri of Bronxville, NY, her children, Isabella and David Mangeri, Jennifer Pollitt (husband Roy) of Goldens Bridge, NY, their children, Ryan and Will Pollitt, his sister, Terry (Heydet) Lynch and her husband Frank Lynchaunts, aunts, Alyce Celona (husband Paul) and Noreen Reid, both of whom he was raised with, and Ann Jackson.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, 26 Chestnut Land Road New Milford, CT on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 9am.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, from 4-7pm at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street in New Milford, CT.
