It is with sadness that the passing of Maria V. Panté of Danbury, Connecticut is shared. Maria, born on May 11, 1929, passed away on September 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Salvador Garretto and Frances Garretto (Agosta); her brother John Garretto; and her sons, Louis and Christopher Panté.
She is survived by: her husband Louis Pante; her children, Richard, Maria Pante and Linda Pante Ross; her grandchildren, Christopher, Richard, Joyce, Dominique and Josiah; and her great grandchildren, Donovan and Phoebe.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home (57 Main St, Danbury, CT 06810). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Joseph Church (376 Main St, Danbury, CT 06810). A committal service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Peter Cemetery (71 Lake Ave Ext, Danbury, CT 06810). A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at the St. Peter's Cemetery (71 Lake Ave Ext, Danbury, CT 06810).
In lieu of flowers, Maria's family would appreciate donations to religious communities where prayers and Masses for her will be offered.
