She is survived by: her children, Brenda Bumbala (Steve), Terry Kayser (Andrea), Lisa Ridgeway and Milagros Marrero-Johnson (Tishay); and her siblings, Delia, Hilda, Ramon, Pedro and Angelo. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Maria's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
