He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Germain and Paula Jean Germain (Ketchum); and his brother Michael Germain. He is survived by: his wife Susan Germain (Dragotta); his children, Bobby Germain (Maddy Bridges) and Ashley Germain; his brothers, Tim Germain (Darian) and Terry Germain; his siblings' children, Kate Sobotka (Michal), Julia Morello (Scott), Kevin, Chris, Daniel, Robert (Annie) and Paul; his great-nephews, Joey and Morgan; his in-laws, Frank and Muriel Dragotta; and his brother-in-law Frank Dragotta.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bethel Funeral Home (215 Greenwood Ave, Bethel, CT 06801).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org) or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause Matthew held dear and supported annually.
