He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Dorsch and Doris Dorsch (Black); and his brothers, Ronald, Stephen and Richard.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley; his children, Robert G. Dorsch III (Misty) of Danbury and Heather Muller (Jacob) of Danbury; his stepdaughter Tesa Golden (Tami) of Dallas; his grandchildren, Skylar, Payton, Savanna, Olivia, Nate and Theo; his sister Deborah Handelsman (Steven) of Harrison, NY; and his sister-in-law Betty Eveleno of Danbury.
