She was predeceased by: her parents, Agustin Espinal and Bertilia Espinal; her husband Rafael "Fellito" Almonte; her brothers, Felix "Pontonio" and Alquide; and her grandson Jay Vargas.
She is survived by: her children, Rosa Rodriguez (Rafael Rodriguez), Fran Almonte, Vinnie Almonte, Ralph Almonte (Mayra Almonte) and Nellie Almonte-Oromaner (Marc Oromaner); her grandchildren, Alex (Raquel), Daniel, Emily (Miguel), Giselle, Janelle, Aliyah and Brienna; and her great grandchildren, Antonio, Camila, Xander and Mylah. She is also survived by siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
