She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvio LaJoie and Grace LaJoie (Perusse); her husband Ray; and her siblings, Muriel Kolwicz, Roland LaJoie and Janet DeMici.
She is survived by: her children, Raymond C. Mills, Jr. (Sheila), Laurie Hobart and Tammy Nogles (Thomas); her grandchildren, Raymond Mills III (Kayte), Kathleen Mills, Sandra Mills, Jeremy Mills (Danielle), Laura Berquist (Carl), Teryn Reynolds (Michael) and Tess Nogles; her great grandchildren, Isabelle, RJ, Everett, Thomas, Teagan and Rowan; and her sister Lucille Kearns (Eddie). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Shirley's name to St. Gregory the Great School or Friends of the Shelton Animal Shelter (FSAS), reflecting two things close to her heart: her faith and her love of animals.
