It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andrew John Wainacht of Darien, Connecticut, born in Norwalk, Connecticut, who passed away on August 8, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Wainacht and Theresa Hornyak Wainacht; and his brother James. He is survived by: his wife Sharon McManus Wainacht of Darien; his children, Milissa Brigante (Daniel) of Old Saybrook, CT, Andrew Wainacht (Kim) of Putnam, CT, Suzanne Silverman (Richard) of Norwalk, CT and Brittany Hasak (Zachary) of Trumbull, CT.; and his grandchildren, Brennan, Kaleigh, Andrew (Emily), Spencer, Rebecca (Christopher), Tyler (Alessandra), Ryan (Rochelle), Harper and Amelia. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
