He is survived by: his children, Nicole McLean of Cazenovia and Douglas Gates of Connecticut; his brother Lance Gates of Palmetto, Florida; his grandchildren, Hannah McLean of Herkimer, Zoe McLean, Lauren McLean of Cazenovia, Rylie Gates of Danielson, Connecticut and Courtney Ebersohl of Davenport, Florida.; and his close friends, Geoffrey Wheaton, Cheryl Smith, Donna, Michael Wallace, Michelle O'Donnell, Richard, Marjorie Chase and Joan Dusoe.
