He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Chmielewski and Josephine Cesarek Kvaka. He is survived by: his sons, E. Joseph Melewski (Julianne), Thomas Melewski (Carolyn) and Mark E. Melewski; his grandchildren, Ryan Melewski, Ian Melewski, Alexander Melewski, Nicholas Melewski (Audrey), Mallory Melewski (Christopher Taylor), Zoe Melewski, Christina Melewski and Casey Melewski; his great grandchildren, Savanah, Madison, Malcolm and Jack; and his sisters, Patricia Virzi and Alexandria Chmielewski Klarman.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mt. St. Peters Cemetery (219 New Haven Ave, Derby, CT 06418).
