She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Colwell and Antoinette Colwell (Blanko); her husband Charles Pawlak; her brothers, Harry Jr. and George Colwell; and her former husband Joseph Gowel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gerri Malloy (James) of Ansonia, Kathleen DiLella of Branford and Maureen Pawlak (Jimmy Zanor) of Branford; her sister Margaret Falbo (Ralph) of Seymour; her grandchildren, Paul DiLella (Mary Liberatore), Charlie DiLella (Marissa Cort), Caitlin Malloy, Eddie Zanor and Anya Zanor; and her great grandchild Julian Carlo DiLella. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Sacred Heart Academy in Hamden.
