John J. Candella Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John J. Candella of Derby, Connecticut, who passed away on October 12, 2025 at the age of 53. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sister Diane M. Candella; his grandparents, Joseph, Madeline DeLuca Candella, John and Mary Musante DeCarli; his uncle Ronald; and his aunt Rosalie DeCarli Chirgwin.
He is survived by: his parents, Richard R. Candella Sr. and Mary DeCarli Candella of Derby; his brother Richard R. Candella Jr. of Orange; his brother-in-law John Mongillo of Derby; his uncles, Joseph Candella of Ansonia, Rocco Candella and James Candella of New Haven; his aunt Linda Candella of Florida; and his cousins, John Chirgwin of Florida, Susan Masella of West Haven, Joseph Candella and Eric Riordan of Derby.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Spinelli-Ricciuti Funeral Home (62 Beaver St, Ansonia, CT 06401). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Rosary Church (10 Father Salemi Dr, Ansonia, CT 06401).
