We are sad to announce that on July 3, 2023, at the age of 63, Joseph Paul Shortell of Derby, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Matthew "Pop" Shortell and Bernice Kiley Shortell; and his siblings, Susan Coughlin, Dorothy Shortell and William Shortell.

He is survived by : his wife Kristin Gustavson Shortell; his daughters, Brittany Shortell Dorothy (Rob Harayda) and Courtney Shortell; his grandsons, Robert Joseph and Jacob John Harayda; and his brother Matthew Shortell Maryanne (Kathi). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their children.

Donations in his memory may be made to The American Heart Association or The Shriners' Hospital for Crippled Children.
