Ruth Bugai Obituary

She was predeceased by: her husband Henry J. Bugai; her parents, Howard Thurston and Helen Thurston (Day); her son Robert Bugai (Bob); her sons-in-law, Robert Hale (Mike) and Ronald Massey; and her siblings, Lina Hodgson, Annie Mercier, Marilyn Newcombe, Janice Shepard, Lee, Howard, George, Carl and Paul Thurston.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis (Beth), John (Rosanne), James (Jiji), Henry Jr. (Annjeannette), Jean Janssen (Jack) of Auburn, NY, Diane Macala (Larry) of Durham and Carol Massey of Middletown, CT.; her daughter-in-law Jennifer Bugai (Vath) of Durham; and her sister Marion Newcombe of Dekalb Junction. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Biega Funeral Home (3 Silver St, Middletown, CT 06457). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Notre Dame Church (272 Main St, Durham, CT 06422).
Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown on Friday December 19th from 5 to 7 p.m. Those who wish may send memorial donations to a charity of the donor's choice.
