It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John E Basso of East Hampton, Connecticut, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on June 21, 2023, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry William and Phyllis Basso (Hale); his son Evan Basso; and his sister Vicky Basso. He is survived by : his wife Elizabeth Basso (Rogers); his daughters, Rachel Park (Brad) of East Haddam and Celia Basso of East Hampton; his grandsons, Vince and Mason Basso; his daughter-in-law Shae Kogut; his siblings, Harry Basso of Portland, Mary Ann Nilsen (Russell) of Florida and Jane Selavka (Michael) of Florida; and his mother-in-law Gayle Rogers. He is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the East Hampton Volunteer Fire Department.
